1st Leg - McCollum Park

     1st Challenge - Teams brought a new unwrapped CD/DVD or package of diapers that were used in the first challenge in order to get directions for the 2nd challenge.  These items were used as donations to either the Heartbeat For Wounded Warriors or Pregnancy Resource Center.

     2nd Challenge - In order to receive the information for the next challenge the teams needed to identify the accurate number of elephants by color in a picture.

     3rd Challenge-  The teams had to identify the accurate number of elephants by color in another picture in order to receive the clue to the next leg of the race.

2nd Leg - Lumina Photography

     4th Challenge - At this leg of the race one member of each team had to ride a child's riding toy around an obstacle course without taking the toy off the ground before they could receive the clue to the next leg of the race.

3rd Leg -The Museum of Flight
     Teams raced to this leg of the race to receive their next clue.

4th Leg - Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
     Teams raced through the outlet mall to find the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory where they received a delicious, chocolate covered strawberry and the clue to the next leg of the race.

5th Leg - Denny's (Arlington Location)
     Teams received a sack lunch and a clue that led them into Stanwood for the next leg of the race.

6th Leg - Twin City Bowling
     5th Challenge - One member of the team had to bowl until they were able to get a strike.  Once the strike was made, they were given their next clue.

7th Leg - Kayak Golf Course
     6th Challenge - One member of the team had to golf their way around a putting green.  If the ball didn't make it into the hole within three shots they had to start all over again.  Once this challenge was completed, they received the clue to the next leg of the race.

8th Leg -
     7th Challenge - A team member had to find the directions to the next challenge in a gooey bucket of old, smashed vegetables and fruits.  Once the clue was found the team member was told to find gummy worms of various color patterns in a haystack.

9th and Final Leg - Willows Edge Farm
     It was a classic finish.  Three teams raced up a hill, falling and laughing as they competed to cross the finish line.


BBQ and Celebration
     All team members and volunteers enjoyed a hamburger BBQ consisting of hamburgers, chips, fresh roasted corn, watermelon and cake.  The kids had a great time checking out the animals at the farm, playing on the swing set and blowing bubbles. 

Shout Out To Our Candidates
     Snohomish County candidates Ryan Ferrie, Gary Gagliardi, and Shahram Hadian joined us for the BBQ at the end of the race.  John Koster sent a representative to celebrate with us, and Clint Didier had a team participate in our race.  Iris Lily took photographs and helped man one of the legs of the race.  A big thank you for their support.
